Georgetown Community School is a growing, dynamic, charter school tucked away in the beautiful mountains of historic Georgetown, Colorado. We have 140 students. Despite only having being in existence for six years as a charter school, we believe we are a leader in innovative education by providing infant, toddler, preschool, pre-kindergarten, free full-day kindergarten, physical education every day, and a stepping out program to learn about the outdoors and local history.

We teach Core Knowledge curriculum for science and social studies. Saxon Math, Open Court Reading, and 6 Traits Writing Rubric.

We use a play-based approach, utilizing individualized plans to facilitate growth and learning. Children enrolled in our infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten classes are introduced to the basic classroom structure with Open Court Reading and the Core Knowledge preschool sequence in addition to traditional early education.
