Georgetown Community School is a growing, dynamic, charter school tucked away in the beautiful mountains of historic Georgetown, Colorado. We have 110 students.  We believe we are a leader in innovative education by providing preschool, pre-kindergarten, free full-day kindergarten, physical education every day, and a stepping out program to learn about the outdoors and local history.

We teach Core Knowledge curriculum for science and social studies. Saxon MathOpen Court Reading, Scott Foresman Science, Step Up to Writing, and Handwriting Without Tears.

We use a play-based approach, utilizing individualized plans to facilitate growth and learning. Children enrolled in our preschool class are introduced to the basic classroom structure with Open Court Reading and the Core Knowledge preschool sequence in addition to Creative Curriculum and traditional early education.
