We believe that Georgetown Community School is a leader in discovering what children need for each level of their growth. We are one of the very few public schools in Colorado that serve the educational needs of infants through 6th grade. We would love for you to consider working here. We are in the process of fundraising for the following jobs and are ready to start interviewing.Note for all positions -- we are a small school. Part of your job may be anything from washing dishes to fundraising.

• Music teacher - one to one 1/2 days per week. Teach children fundamentals of music, singing, and performance skills. You will be working with the staff and community to create performances and with fundraising. Familiarity with Core Knowledge, ability to work with other teachers to enhance their educational programs, and broad experience in all the arts desired. Classroom management experience and working with children from 6 weeks to 6th grade important.
• RtI Math and Writing teacher - (K-6) full time. Help create and deliver a response to intervention program for students who are not making yearly progress in the standard classroom program. Required success in working with children with disabilities, assessments, classroom management, elementary math, and writing. Experience with Saxon Math, 6 Trait Writing, Direct Instruction, and Open Court Reading desired.
• Substitute teachers - infant, toddler, preschool, K-6.
• Volunteers - The biggest need we have right now is for a volunteer coordinator. We also need tutors in reading and math, classroom and field trip helpers.
• Theater, Art, Music, and Dance professionals - willing to donate their time to one special day focusing on teaching preschool through 6th grade children the fundamentals of your craft.
