Georgetown Community School

"It's All About the Kids."

Welcome to

Georgetown Community School.

We serve infants, toddlers, Pre-K, and K-6 and their families. Located in historic Georgetown, Colorado, GCS offers a back-to-basics elementary education with emphasis on learning and character. Saxon Math, Open Court Literacy, and Core Knowledge-based science and social studies; physical education EVERY day; and experiential learning opportunities unique to our high mountain valley.

This effort has been made successful by generous contributions of time and money from countless individuals and groups from inside and outside of the community, including a planning grant from the Walton Family Foundation and a start-up grant from the Colorado Department of Education-Schools of Choice Unit.

We invite you to visit our school. Use the links to learn more, or call us at (303) 569-3277 to schedule a visit.

Please visit our highlighted contributor -- MAIN STREET RESTAURANT in Idaho Springs (ELC parents Micheli and Joshua DuBien). They provided the staff with breakfast on Monday, August 23.
