Georgetown Community School is a growing, dynamic, charter school tucked away in the beautiful mountains of historic Georgetown, Colorado. We have 130 students. Despite only having being in existence for five years as a charter school, we believe we are a leader in innovative education by providing infant, toddler, preschool, pre-kindergarten, free full-day kindergarten, physical education every day, and a stepping out program to learn about the outdoors and local history.

We teach Core Knowledge curriculum for science and social studies. Saxon Math, Open Court Reading, and 6 Traits Writing Rubric.

We use a play-based approach, utilizing individualized plans to facilitate growth and learning. Children enrolled in our infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten classes are introduced to the basic classroom structure with Open Court Reading and the Core Knowledge preschool sequence in addition to traditional early education. We also provide after school and summer care.
